ABOUT
This consultancy is being offered at a critical time when climate change and air pollution are increasingly recognized as significant threats to public health worldwide. The World Health Organization notes that climate-related hazards, including heatwaves, air pollution, vector-borne diseases, flooding, and environmental degradation, continue to strain health systems, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. In Vietnam, rapid urbanization, increasing pollution, and vulnerability to climate change have created growing environmental and health challenges. To address these issues, WHO is working closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health to strengthen climate-health preparedness, improve environmental health monitoring, and support policies that safeguard public health.
