ABOUT
The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) has opened applications for the Master of Science in Global Health Delivery (MGHD), specifically for candidates applying through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. The program seeks to develop the next generation of global health leaders equipped with the skills, values, and commitment to transform health systems and improve equity in global health mission Criteria
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 35 or under the year at the time of application (exceptions apply to applicants with disabilities).
- Applicants must be residents and citizens or hold refugee status in an African country.
- Applicants should have matriculated and successfully graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from any diverse academic and professional background.
- The MGHD program seeks to attract a diverse cohort of students from a wide range of disciplines such as public policy, economics, social sciences, engineering, environmental studies, education, and technology (*any domain with a meaningful connection to health and well-being).
- This diversity enriches the learning experience, encouraging innovative problem-solving and collaboration across sectors.
- The ideal candidate should be passionate about improving health outcomes, addressing inequities, and contributing to sustainable global health solutions, whether through clinical practice, policy development, research, advocacy or innovative technologies.
- Leaders who can address complex health delivery challenges in diverse contexts worldwide.
- An interest in interactive, active problem-based learning and proficiency in analytical skills to enable learning of biostatistics, epidemiology, and accounting.
- Proficiency in English
- Equivalence Certificate (if applicable), *Those who need to apply for the equivalence certificate should note that you cannot apply for the HEC Equivalence Certificate until you have been admitted to UGHE, as one of the required documents is your admission letter.
- Already holding a master’s degree is not eligible to apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
