ABOUT
The Data Science to Advance Women’s Health (DSAWH) Fellowship is a fully funded 9-month program for 20 early-career women researchers from Eastern and Southern Africa. The 2026 cohort aims to build research and publication skills, enhance regional collaboration, and empower participants to apply data science in tackling women’s health challenges across Africa.

Eligibility
- Identify as a woman and be based in Eastern or Southern Africa
- Be an early-career researcher, preferably within 5 years of completing a relevant graduate degree (Master’s or PhD)
- Be actively involved in or planning a research project focused on women’s health
- Demonstrate interest or experience in data science or quantitative research methods
- Commit to participating fully in the 9-month program, including virtual and in-person components
