ABOUT
Save the Children is recruiting an MNCAH Technical Specialist to provide expert leadership for maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health across its health systems strengthening work in Kenya. The role focuses on integrating evidence-based interventions into policies and programs, strengthening program quality, and driving innovation to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations. As part of the PDQI team, the Specialist will lead the design and delivery of high-quality MNCAH programs in both development and humanitarian settings, oversee technical studies, share best practices, and support research and advocacy with government and civil society partners. The position also involves strong donor engagement to grow strategic partnerships, and may require flexible responsibilities during emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine and a postgraduate degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Global Health, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of technical experience managing MNCAH programs, including senior-level leadership.
- Extensive experience working within Kenya’s devolved health system.
- Proven ability to design and manage high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective health programs across development, humanitarian, and fragile contexts.
- Demonstrated skills in research, advocacy, and donor engagement, including writing high-quality donor reports.
- Experience working with national and county governments and building the capacity of systems, partners, and staff.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively to provide field support.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and coaching skills, with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in diverse, international environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a commitment to achieving results.
- Ability to work flexibly, including revised working hours during emergencies.
