About
The Planetary Health Postdoctoral Fellowship supports early-career researchers in generating evidence and solutions at the intersection of human health and environmental change. Based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and in partnership with Stanford University, this two-year, full-time fellowship cultivates research addressing environmental degradation’s health impacts and fostering resilience in vulnerable communities. Fellows receive mentorship from experts across both institutions and are expected to lead research that supports health, sustainability, and equity.
Who Can Apply
Open to researchers from anywhere in the world who:
- Have completed a PhD within the last three years
- Demonstrate experience or interest in planetary health, global health, environmental science, or related fields
- Are fluent in English
- Can propose a feasible and impactful research agenda related to the environment and health
- Come from any discipline, including epidemiology, ecology, health policy, environmental studies, or global health.

Expectations of Fellows
- Conduct independent research with faculty guidance

- Collaborate with the Stanford-based postdoctoral fellow on shared learning and global impact
