The National Cancer Summit 2025 is a high-level, multi-stakeholder gathering aimed at accelerating Kenya’s progress in cancer prevention, care, and control. Following the success of the 2023 Summit—which convened over 1,000 stakeholders and galvanized a national movement—the 2025 edition seeks to deepen impact through collaboration, innovation, and practical action.
Mission: To oversee the delivery of responsive, high-quality, sustainable, and evidence-based cancer prevention, management, and control through multi-sectoral coordination, research, policy formulation, regulation, and advocacy.
Vision: To be a leading authority in cancer prevention, management, and control.
Summit Objectives
- Review progress in cancer prevention and early detection in line with Universal Health Coverage (UHC)
- Spotlight diagnostic systems (imaging, pathology, lab medicine) for accurate, timely care
- Advance access to quality treatment, palliative care, and survivor support
- Promote advocacy and sustainable financing for equitable cancer services
- Strengthen data systems, research, and evidence-based interventions

- Systems & Equity in Cancer Care: Infrastructure, universal access, financing models, and accountability
- Innovation, Research & Data: Digital tools, AI, localized research, national registry development
- Community Engagement & Behavioral Change: Youth advocacy, cultural approaches, stigma reduction, grassroots mobilization
- Human Dignity, Support & Survivorship: Palliative care, mental health, rights-based services, caregiver support
